Fellowship/Mastership Programs
ADAA Fellowship and Mastership Programs
The ADAA offers a program developed to recognize those members who have achieved outstanding educational levels in their profession. The program offers two levels of recognition – Fellow & Master – based on educational hours obtained and continuous years of membership in the ADAA.
In order to become a Fellow in the ADAA, one must accumulate 300 hours of continuing education credits within ten years. Those holding the Certified Dental Assistant (CDA), Certified Orthodontic Assistant, (COA), or Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Assistant (COMSA), Certified Dental Practice Management Assistant (CDPMA), or licensed assistants from California, Michigan and Minnesota may receive credit toward the 300 hour Fellowship requirement.
In order to become a Master in the ADAA, one must accumulate 400 hours of continuing education credits within ten years, which includes an expansion of topics with an emphasis on new technology in dentistry.
When complete, candidates will apply for completion and be eligible to participate in a Convocation ceremony at Annual Conference.
